"LEXTOR" was born in 1987. (Montenegro). Ever since she knew herself she had a love for animals and art. She grew up surrounded by cats, in a beautiful small coastal town of South-East Europe called Herceg Novi. As a little girl, her collective name for all the cats was “Caci” which inspired the title of her collection. At the age of 17 she was selected by "Elite Model Look" model agency as one of the most beautiful Montenegrin. Jelena graduated with distinction from Graphic design and multimedia art at the University for Art and Design "Megatrend" in Belgrade, Serbia. During her arts studies, and doing a workshop in “McCann Erickson” company in Belgrade (Serbia), she felt in love with advertising and how it can powerfully communicate emotions. When well done, commercials can touch hearts and minds worldwide in just a few minutes of watching. In February 2018. Jelena won an award as selected artist on worldwide "Heineken" competition for its "Open Your World" campaign with her hand painted (stop motion) video animation done in aquarelle technique. In her work she was always experimenting with new techniques, from combining different materials to trying new things. Her experimentation with different kinds of art and media techniques dates back to her student’s days and art classes. Those works took on various presentations on the exhibitions and some of them resulted as performances, from hanging mixed media painting on the ceiling and installing the bed under it, to dressing herself as an Alice (character from "Alice in Wonderland") to be a part of her mixed media collage on canvas painting and sculpture made out of recycled paper. The more she was into arts, the less she was satisfied with the ordinary mediums and traditional expression. Her adventure and experience in searching for a "perfect technique" resulted in making artworks that combine her four biggest loves: art, advertising, animals and fashion. The intention of her artwork has been to investigate the connection between fashion, art, animals, worldwide problems and advertising, in the form of a new technique/medium. Some of her artworks from the "CACI (Beware of humans!)" collection were published in December /January 98. issue of the "Aesthetica" International Magazine for the Art and Culture, in the printed and online version (2021, United Kingdom).​​ She acquired "Luxembourg Art Price" certificates -encouragement of the members of the artistic commission. (2020, 2021)​ Jelena received a commendation for her mixed media painting on canvas named "Bermuda's triangle" at the "Fifth International Biennale of the fine art nude Marko Krstov Gregovic" in the gallery "Marko Krstov Gregovic", Memorial home "Red Komuna" Petrovac, Montenegro (July, 2021).​ In October 2022. she attended/completed "M&C Saatchi Open House" online training program achieving 7 hours of continuous professional development. Her artwork "CACI black cat" was featured in the Saatchi Art's "New This Week" collection curated by Rebecca Wilson, Chief Curator and VP, Art Advisory. (2022) She is the one of the few artists from Europe whom was chosen/ accepted by the jury of a professionals to exhibit her artwork along the best in art and advertising in New York, NY/USA. (2023) During May 2024 she was awarded a certificate of appreciation as an art teacher & mentor of the for supporting the traditional competition on the occasion of the celebration of Montenegro's independence day for students of primary, secondary and music schools through pictures, words and music on the theme "Land of pearls" organized by the Herceg Novi branch of "Matica Montenegrin". In June 2024 she won the 5th place of the possible top five in the teachers category with her flowers on the ”Enoart upcycled flower contest" (Slovenia) among 265 contestants from 27 countries on 4 continents. Jelena successfully completed the workshop "Making the PYP happen": Implementing agency (Cat 1) Primary years program-from June 5. 2024 to July 3. 2024. The workshop was organized by IB online professional development department and were led by experienced practitioners of the IB.
